Playing on the Ruins of a Culture

Updated: Oct 20

Today we continue our study of the past, which is almost as foreign to us as an alien culture. The "Old Western Culture" that is our distant past is dead, and yet when we study it, when we imbibe it, when we believe in it enough that its true virtues become our own, when its goodness and beauty renew our own minds, it is not dead. The past lives on in us.
